Instructor
Bree Rody is a versatile dancer, choreographer and instructor based in Ontario. In her youth she studied ballet (Cecchetti and RAD), jazz, tap, modern (Graham and Horton), acrobatics, hip-hop and Scottish Highland dance. As a graduate of one of Ontario’s first Specialist High Skills Major schools, she was also privileged to receive additional training and certification in practical stage effects, stage combat and fight choreography.
Since 2006, Bree has taught dance in competitive, recreational and pre-professional academy settings, including facilitating adaptive classes for autistic and developmentally disabled dancers. She’s also served as a high school varsity dance coach and choreographed for community theatre, with credits including College: The Musical, The Great American Trailer Park Musical and X-Musical: An X-Men Musical. Her students have achieved success on stage and screen and in teaching careers – and, most importantly, in life.
As an adult, she has continued to train with instructors such as Stelio Calagias, Kate Jablonski, Linda Garneau and Johnathan Morin. For 15 years, she taught across the GTHA and Waterloo Region. Now based in Simcoe, ON, she teaches at Lisa Naves Dance Company. Bree holds ADAPT tap and jazz certification, Acrobatic Arts Module II/aerial and back handspring training, and is a member of the Professional Adjudicator’s Alliance.
