Max Abonyi

Instructor

Max started dancing at LNDC at the age of 5 and set his sights on the competitive team. He has been on the team since he was 6 years old and is entering his graduating year!

Max has received several accolades including earning the titles of Teen Mr. Dance Canada and Mr. Dance Canada in 2023 and 2025. Max has also had the opportunity to represent Canada at the IDO World Tap Championships in October 2024 where he received a bronze medal with his team. He has received the highest score in Tap and Interview at the Dance Masters of Canada Regional Pageant this past spring. Max is also part of Next Gen Intensive which showcases the next generation of talent in the dance world.

Max has been taught in numerous styles at LNDC including Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, and Contemporary. Max has been assisting since he was 10 years old and has assisted in Acro, Tap, Jazz, and Leaps and Bounds. He has received a certification for being an assistant teacher from the Assistant Teacher Program (ATP) and received a certification for teaching from Tap Dance Center.

Max is beyond excited to bring a load of positive energy and fun to his classes!
