Natalie Petrella

Instructor

From a very young age, Natalie trained and was examined through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing in modern, ballet, tap, and jazz and was certified as an associate in Stage, in 1998. Her knack for teaching dance led her to also pursue a career in education. Natalie uses her knowledge and skills from her experience as an educator within the studio to motivate and challenge young dancers.

Her professional credits include: Toronto Blue Jays (choreographer, stage manager, dance captain), Toronto Phantoms Arena Football (dance captain), HBO movie “In His Father’s Shoes,” Sky music video “Some Kinda Wonderful,’’ Much Music’s Electric Circus, Team Canada (World Showdance Championships, Riesa, Germany), industrial performances (MPI), opening ceremonies for Special Olympics, and The Sunshine Millions with Joe Pesci.

Natalie’s choreography and instruction have gained recognition and inspired the passion of artistry and targeted goal-setting among her students. Natalie adjudicates and teaches workshops across Ontario, and her thirst for continuing education is endless. She has a strong understanding of how much effort goes into a piece of choreography, how challenging it can be to teach a variety of young minds and bodies, the treacherous hours of commitment to rehearsal, and most importantly, the confidence it takes to share your artistry on stage.
